A few months ago, my Tercel hit 147k miles & the clutch gave up the ghost. I'm new to the area, so didn't have any history w/ any mechanics shop. I called Dan based on my sense the very positive reviews I was reading on the web were real... not some bogus paid PR.. And I wanted a top-notch job. Dan walked me through the his approach over the phone, including explaining his choice of parts. Only after discussing how to do it right, did he mention possible shortcuts to save a few bucks here and there, & what the risk/reward was. Replace the clutch is a pretty extensive job, so I went to a 2nd shop that has a good reputation & had been recommended to me. The Estimator started the conversation w/ "here's where we can save you money". As I said, the 2nd place has a good reputation & is always busy. But --to me-- There's an important difference in approach starting with "here's how we do it right" versus "here's where we can cut corners". So I had Dan do it. I've got 4000 miles on the clutch now & it's great. Dan delivered a very high level of quality in his service, which included giving the car a through inspection & giving me a complete list of recommended maintenance. The entire team was fun. The customer service was exemplary & I'm completely satisfied w/ the quality of the work performed. So.. I hope you can tell... This is not a canned, positive review, They deserve it it.
